About Nola

Hi, I’m Nola! I’m a sweet and sensitive girl looking for a loving home where I can feel safe and secure. I’m a bit shy and can be nervous around new people, so I’m hoping to find an experienced owner who can help me build trust at my own pace. Once I’m comfortable, I’m friendly and social with other dogs, and I may be ok to have a furry friend in my new home. If you have another dog in your home already, we will need to meet at the shelter prior to going home with you to ensure we'll be the paw-fect match.

Because I am a little worried about the world, I’d feel most at ease in a calm home with kids over 12 years old who can understand my need for space. I’m currently on behavior medication to help with my fear, but with the right care and patience, I know I can thrive. My past is a bit of a mystery, but I came to the shelter through no fault of my own, and I’m really hopeful that my forever family is out there, ready to offer me the stability and love I need. If you’re experienced with dogs like me and have the time and understanding to help me grow, I’d love to meet you!
