Hey there, my name is Mittens.
I came to the RSPCA as a stray and unfortunately my owners never came looking for me. That's okay though, I'm ready for a brand new start! Could that be with you?
I am a bright, energetic young man who is full of life and keen for adventure. I absolutely love water. A shell pool to paddle in or even a game of chasing the hose would be an utter thrill!
I'd do best in a home with no small children, I can be a little excited sometimes which can be a bit overwhelming for very young children. For that reason I'd like any children to be over 6 years of age and dog confident please, that way we can both enjoy each other's company and they will be old enough to throw a toy for me too!
I've met a few other doggy friends while at the shelter, but I've been a bit picky with whom I get along with so it's important my new owners bring in any existing dogs they have to meet me to assure we are comfortable with each other and will get along.
I am still a young man and I can get excited or jump around a bit before I settle so I would benefit from ongoing training to help reinforce the good manners I've been learning while staying at the shelter.
I know sometimes you have to go out and leave me alone and that's okay. A warm bed, fresh water, toys and most of all something wonderful to eat like treats or a bone will keep me happy and settled until you return.
My new home will need to have secure 6ft Colorbond fencing around the entire yard to ensure I stay safe and happy at home.
I love to be with my people and would love to be part of a family who wants to include me in daily walks and activities. I adore toys and I will do anything for a tasty treat. If I sound like the fellow for you please come down to the shelter to meet me today.
