Hi, I’m Claude! a handsome black-and-white gentleman with a big personality and an even bigger heart, once you earn my trust.

For most of my life, I had to survive on my own as a stray, without a home or anyone to rely on. I’ve now spent nearly 200 days in care waiting for my person to find me, and while that’s a long time, I still haven’t given up hope that the right home is out there.

Because of my past, I can take a little while to settle into new places and new people. I like to do things at my own pace and build trust slowly. I’m not the kind of cat who will instantly jump into your lap, but once I feel safe, I really do enjoy companionship and being near my humans. Having a warm, cosy place to call my own means the world to me.

Food is also very important to me. When you’ve spent years not knowing where your next meal is coming from, it’s hard not to get excited at dinner time! I can sometimes eat quickly or get a little impatient, but I’m learning that I don’t need to worry anymore. An automatic feeder would really help me feel secure and relaxed around mealtimes.

I’m looking for an understanding home with no children under 12. Sometimes I get overwhelmed if I’m handled too much, so I need people who can read my body language, respect my boundaries, and give me space when I need it.

If you’re patient with me, I promise I’m worth it. I may take time to open up, but when I do, I become a loyal, rewarding companion who will quietly steal your heart. All I really want is someone willing to give me the chance I’ve never truly had, a safe home, a steady routine, and someone to love.
