About Snorlax

Snorlax is a sweet and enthusiastic pup who's learning how to navigate the world with growing confidence. Despite his name, this guy is anything but sleepy when it comes to engaging with the people he trusts! Once conflicted and overwhelmed in the shelter environment, Snorlax has made huge strides thanks to a consistent behaviour plan, positive reinforcement training, and the support of behaviour medication. Snorlax has been working hard on his skills, including mat training and hand targeting, which help him manage his arousal levels. He's food-motivated, eager to learn, and absolutely thrives when given structure, patience, and positive outlets for his energy.

He does best in a calm, adult-only or dog-savvy teenagers home with no other pets, as he can feel tense and uncomfortable around dogs. Though he tends to avoid confrontation, he has shown reactivity when overwhelmed or face to face with other dogs. A dedicated, experienced owner who understands how to manage his environment and continue his training will be essential for his ongoing success.
