About Maya

Maya has had a rough start to life and is looking for her own patient, kelpie-experienced home that will give her the space and time to open up in her own time. She is a curious, friendly girl, but also prefers to be able to choose when she gets love and attention, and when she wants her own space. She would love a family who understands this and gives her that choice in interactions. She loves her squeaky toys, which she tends to take to bed to keep her company.

She is still working on her training, and currently knows how to sit and drop, but would love daily training sessions to help keep her happy and to provide her with structure. Maya enjoys exploring the world, though she does pull on walks, so an owner who can manage this and continue her loose leash training would be ideal.

Maya is undersocialised with other dogs and doesn't always want to interact, so we recommend her being the only dog in her new home.

Additionally, Maya has some manageable medical issues, which our team can discuss in detail to ensure she receives the best possible care in her new home.
