Suki, Jimbo & Travis!

These 3 siblings are a mix of border collie & kelpie & are as smart as they come! Having only very recently arrived at the shelter, we are still getting to know these gorgeous pups. Suki is currently the most confident & leads the way for her brothers to follow. Jimbo is a bit of a clown, but also a very sweet and affectionate little boy. Travis needs some confidence building & finds the shelter a bit overwhelming, but he is super-duper handsome!

Being a working breed mix, strong consideration needs to be given as to whether these types of dogs are compatible with your lifestyle. Kelpies are the genius of the dog world & require daily exercise - not only their bodies but their brilliant brains too. They thrive when given the opportunities to learn, to problem solve & to work. This is so reinforcing for them. They don't actually need to be working livestock, but they do need space to run, games to play, behaviour to learn &, above all else, connection with their humans.

All 3 pups were quite nervous coming into shelter; they came from a property where they had a lot of space to run around. Ongoing positive reinforcement training would be highly beneficial for them. Not only does it give them invaluable guidance as to how we would like them to behave, but it also creates a phenomenal bond between you & your dog as you work together as a team.

Crate training can be very useful to give your dog a safe space where they can relax, chew on something long-lasting & delicious as well as an opportunity to rest.

These pups could live with another dog if you already share your life with a canine companion & we'd be more than happy to line up a meet & greet to see if we have a good match for potential besties.
