About Annabelle
Meet Annabelle, a female Plum Head Parrot.
Plum Head Parrot females are usually very social, sweet and playful. We believe however that Annabelle has been an aviary bird with no handling to date so is quite avoidant with touch and very flighty. Her ideal home would be with someone who has knowledge and patience with training parrots.
They are not considered to be a very loud species. They also tend to do well with other birds. A plum head would do well in a dynamic household; they tend not to be a high-stress species. These parrots are generally gentle, social, and affectionate birds with their owners, although they can be somewhat stand-offish with strangers. They are relatively quiet for a parrot, so they may be the right choice for those bird owners who live near neighbours.
If you think this bird might be the perfect fit for your family, please fill out an adoption application today! https://www.rspcaqld.org.au/expression-of-interest-to-adopt.
Don't forget to include a photograph of your bird enclosure.
Dear Visitor, please note a property check may be required before adoption to ensure the safety and welfare of our animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties.
Please note that this website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted by another party. We unfortunately can not put animals on hold over the phone.
