About Licorice

Meet Licorice, a handsome Greyhound with a sweet streak and a curious mind. Found as a stray, Licorice is ready for a warm, predictable home where he can truly settle in. Like many Greyhounds, he's gentle-natured yet independent, happiest when given time and space to get comfortable. He's still learning that human affection can feel good - preferring calm company to lots of hands-on fuss - but once he knows you, his loyalty and quiet companionship will shine through. Licorice adores his treats and has a cheeky side when it comes to food!Licorice will do best in a peaceful, adult or older-children home as the only pet, where he can build confidence at his own pace. He's not interested in doggy playdates and will need calm, careful introductions to the world as he adjusts to home life. A routine filled with gentle walks, soft bedding, and a cosy jacket on chilly mornings will make him happiest. Like all Greyhounds, Licorice must always be on lead when outside a secure area, and his new family should be ready to continue his training - including muzzle desensitisation, basic obedience, and "settle" skills. With kindness, patience, and predictability, Licorice will blossom into a loving, well-mannered companion who's every bit as sweet as his name.
