About Winter

Winter is a beautiful, gentle soul who has lived in a home before and knows all about family life. She arrived at the shelter quite worried, and it took her a little time to come out of her shell - but with patience and kindness, she's shown just how soft and loving she truly is, she often goes to classes to help people build confidence around dogs! Her calm nature, and cuddle bug personality really light people up! She is toilet trained and knows some basic tricks as well!

She would benefit from having someone home for the first few days or even the first week to help her settle into her new environment and routine. A calm, predictable start will help her feel secure.

Winter may do well with respectful children who understand when she needs space. She'll need to meet the whole family at the time of adoption to ensure everyone gets along!

She has lived with another dog before and has shown herself to be very gentle and chilled around other dogs in the shelter. Winter would likely enjoy having a calm canine friend in the home - but as always, a meet‑and‑greet is essential, she often goes on walks with fellow shelter pups and has shown them the ropes on how to "dog".

In shelter she has shown to be a picky eater, often only eating dry food mixed with a little bit of wet. She has eaten this reliably in shelter.
