About Penguin
Penguin is a sweet, timid girl who thrives in a calm, safe environment. She should initially be introduced to a small, secure area of the home, with escape holes and hard-to-reach spots blocked off. This helps her feel safe while she settles in, as large open spaces can easily overwhelm her. Gradually, she can explore the rest of the house at her own pace.
Providing plenty of safe spaces-scratch posts, cat trees, hides like cardboard boxes or igloos, and access to high shelves and dressers-will help Penguin feel secure. She enjoys gentle affection, especially chin and cheek rubs, and will sometimes roll onto your hand purring and kneading with her paws.
Penguin would do best with a patient, understanding adopter who can read her body language and give her time to warm up. Older children or teens are ideal. She is social and may enjoy the company of a calm cat companion, particularly since she came in with littermates. Penguin startles easily with loud noises, so a quiet home will help her thrive.
