About Sooky
Sweet Sooky is a gentle, sensitive little boy who is finding shelter life quite overwhelming. This timid young pup would much prefer a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and secure.
Sooky would do best with older, understanding children due to his shy nature. He must live with another confident, friendly dog who can help guide him and build his confidence. He can live with full-time owners, which may help him settle and adjust more comfortably.
Sooky has a mild jaw malocclusion, meaning his lower canine teeth are slightly misaligned. This may not cause issues, but if his adult teeth grow in a way that causes discomfort, future veterinary dental treatment (at the adopter's expense) may be needed. Our team is happy to discuss this further.
As a Shih Tzu/Poodle mix, regular lifelong grooming is essential. His coat will require frequent brushing and professional grooming to prevent painful matting. In some cases, sedation at a veterinary clinic may be needed if his coat becomes severely matted.
Sooky is a timid boy and may be nervous in new environments or around unfamiliar people and animals. With patience, kindness, and positive guidance, he will continue to grow in confidence and blossom into a loving companion.
If you have a calm home, a confident doggy friend, and a gentle heart ready to help a shy pup shine, Sooky could be the perfect addition to your family.
Behaviour Team meets available Tuesday to Friday, 9am-4pm.
