About Lyra

Hi, I'm Lyra !

I'm a young German Shepherd cross, which means I've got the brains, the loyalty, and the beautiful looks all rolled into one. Everyone says I'm a very sweet girl - I love being close to my people once I know I'm safe.

I can be a little timid at first, especially around men. I'm not mean at all - just a bit unsure sometimes. With patience, gentle voices, and maybe a tasty treat or two, I soon start to relax and let my affectionate side shine.

Because I can be a sensitive soul, I'd be happiest in a calm home. I could live with older, respectful children who understand that I might need a little space while I'm building my confidence. If they're kind and patient with me, I'll happily be their gentle, loving companion.

I'm still young and have so much potential - I just need someone willing to help me grow in confidence at my own pace.

I do have a few medical things going on at the moment, but the lovely staff are more than happy to talk you through everything and answer any questions about what I need.
