About Eggbert
Eggbert - Rooster Available for Adoption
Eggbert is a mature rooster looking for a responsible home. Roosters help maintain flock structure and can offer protection for hens.
Basic Care Needs
Space: Needs outdoor room to roam, scratch, and stay active.
Coop: Requires a secure, predator‑proof coop with good ventilation.
Flock Ratio: Best kept with a group of hens; around 6-10 hens per rooster is typical.
Noise: Roosters crow throughout the day, so he's suited to homes where crowing is acceptable.
Diet: Standard poultry feed plus constant access to clean water.
Introductions: Should be introduced slowly to existing birds to prevent aggression.
Eggbert is ready for a home that understands basic rooster care and can provide a safe, appropriate setup.
Dear Visitor, please note a property check may be required before adoption to ensure the safety and welfare of our animals. Rental agreements allowing pets will be required for adoptions into rental properties.
Please note that this website is live and updates frequently, there is a chance that by the time you arrive at our location the animal you have an interest in might have been adopted by another party. We unfortunately can not put animals on hold over the phone.
