Bailey is a handsome Staghound cross looking for a calm, understanding home where he can truly thrive. Being a gentle and sensitive boy, he can find busy shelter life overwhelming and would do best in a quiet environment with patient adopters who will let him settle in at his own pace. Once comfortable, Bailey shows a sweet and affectionate nature and enjoys calm interactions with his people.

He is food motivated, knows how to sit, and would benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to continue building his confidence. Bailey is best suited to a home with teens and adults who can comfortably manage his size and strength. Coming out of a shelter environment, Bailey will want all your attention for himself, so he would be best as the only dog in the house. Bailey is not suitable for a home with cats.

Indoor access and a semi-rural large yard with lots of space to run would help Bailey feel safe and secure. With patience, kindness, and consistency, Bailey has all the makings of a loyal and loving companion.
