Hi, I’m Skyla 💕I’m a fun, funny girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for my people. I’ve been living with my foster family for a few months now, and I’ve shown them just how special I am. I love being close to the people I care about and always like to know where you are — not in a clingy way, just in a “we’re a team” kind of way.One of my favourite things in the world is soft toys. Squeaky or not, I’m not fussy! I usually have one in my mouth or tucked beside me in bed, and I love carrying them around the house. I also enjoy picking up things left on the floor and carrying them proudly — especially shoes. Don’t worry, I don’t chew them! In fact, greeting people with a shoe when they come home is kind of my signature move. I even have my own special shoes for this job.I love car rides and would happily jump into any car with an open door, so adventures together would suit me just fine. I’m very much an inside girl and love relaxing indoors, but I do enjoy a quick zoom around the yard now and then. I have one harmless digging spot under the deck and I’m very polite about avoiding garden beds.I enjoy going for walks and usually walk nicely on lead. I’m calm and sensible when other dogs run up to me, though I do get a bit excited about kangaroos and free-range chickens. I’m easy to handle for vet visits and when I need treatment for my allergies, which makes life a little easier for everyone.I’m a quiet girl most of the time. I don’t bark much, and when I do it’s never for long. Instead, I use a gentle little whine to let you know when I’d like to go outside or when I’m politely asking if it might be dinner time.What I’m looking for in my forever home 🏡I’m hoping for a home where I can be part of the family and spend lots of time close to my people. I’d love a calm, caring home where I can be an inside companion, go for walks, enjoy car rides, and share my toys (and maybe a shoe or two).
