About Ernie

Meet gorgeous young Australian Kelpie Ernie — around 1 year old and looking for a loving home to call his own. Originally bred as a working dog, he’s decided farm life isn’t quite for him and would much rather be someone’s loyal companion.

Ernie is a sweet, smart, and active lad with plenty of potential. While he hasn’t had a lot of formal training yet, he’s eager to learn and would thrive with patience, guidance, and love.

He’s great with kids, may suit a home with another dog, and would make the perfect “tradie dog” — happily joining you for the day and sticking by your side wherever you go.

Like many Kelpies, he can be a bit adventurous, so secure 6-foot fencing is important to keep him safe.
