About Buddy

Buddy is a 4-year-old Staffy mix with a sweet, sensitive personality. He can be nervous in new situations and is still learning about the world after never being walked prior to coming into care. While he’s not a huge fan of toys, Buddy loves being close to people he trusts and enjoys calm companionship over rough-and-tumble play. With patience and gentle encouragement, his confidence continues to grow every day.Buddy also experiences separation anxiety, so he’s looking for a home where someone is around more often than not and can help him feel safe and secure as he settles in. He would thrive in a calm, understanding home willing to give him time to adjust at his own pace.Buddy has only ever lived with his friend Rocket and is most comfortable with the companionship he already knows. As he hasn’t had much opportunity to build confidence around unfamiliar dogs, he would be best suited to a home without other dogs. Because of their close bond, Buddy may also be able to go home with Rocket for the right family.
