About Zane

Meet Zane! a gentle, sensitive boy looking for a calm and understanding home where he can continue learning that people aren’t so scary. Over the last few weeks, Zane has made some beautiful progress and has slowly started building confidence around humans. Thanks to his very high food drive, he’s been bravely venturing out of hiding, sitting near his foster carers, and even eating from their hands. While he’s still extremely timid and hand shy, every small step forward with Zane feels incredibly rewarding.

Zane will need a patient adopter who understands that trust takes time. Sudden movements and loud noises still frighten him, and at this stage he is not comfortable with being touched or petted. His ideal home would be quiet, predictable, and low-traffic, with someone willing to let him move at his own pace and celebrate the little victories along the way. In return, you’ll get the privilege of watching a shy cat slowly blossom into his true self. When he’s feeling safe, Zane enjoys watching TV, snacking on treats, and playing with soft toys (preferably ones without bells). He may not be an instant cuddle bug, but for the right person, earning Zane’s trust will be incredibly special.
