Ben Roy is a gorgeous 8-year-old Maltese Cross Shih Tzu who is looking for a loving home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by his people.

Ben is a loving, affectionate little lap dog who absolutely adores people. He loves being close to his humans and is happiest when he can curl up beside you and enjoy plenty of cuddles.

He gets along well with other dogs of a similar size and has a real love of water, making him a fun little companion with plenty of personality.

Ben can be anxious at times, so he will need a patient and understanding family who can give him time to settle in, build his confidence and feel secure. A calm, predictable home where his people are around would be ideal for him.

He could be a wonderful companion for retirees, someone who works from home, or a family with older, respectful children. Ben would suit people who have plenty of time to give him companionship, reassurance and affection.

Ben can also be a barker, so his new family will need to be prepared to work patiently with him and help him learn appropriate barking behaviour using positive, reward-based training.
