Hi there, my name is Simone!

I am a Silky terrier x on the lookout for my furrever home! I'm quite a nervous gal and need lots of time to learn about how to cope in a home so keep reading to find out if we could be the pawfect match!

I would love a home with mature children (if you have them!) I am quite fearful and have shown to be quite scared of sudden movements, sounds and noises - and most children are just that! so I would love a home with older children, so they understand to be quite and calm around me! I have also shown that I am slightly scared of men! My foster carer is working on building my confidence in the home and is doing such a good job, but it's definitely something to keep in mind about me as I can be quite nervous and may not enjoy visitors in the home for a while!

Because of my fearfulness with sudden movements, sounds and things I would love a quite/calm household - this would mean low foot traffic and preferably in a quiet neighbourhood as the sound of traffic can startle me!

I am a love bug and want nothing more than to snuggle with you on the couch and learn what a home of my own looks like! I enjoy my toys and chewing things! I also love enrichment as it gives me something to do! Things like kongs, snuffle mats and rope/hard toys are my personal favourite to keep me busy!

When I came into RSPCA care I did come in with other dogs and have shown to be dog social while in care, my foster carer doesn't have any other dogs in the home, but if you have a calm social dog, you think would be a good match for me, please let the staff know so we can organise a match up! I'd love to learn from another dog and build my confidence in the home with a doggo but I would also do fine as an only pet as well!

I would love a home with indoor/outdoor access, so I have a choice of where I want to be in the home and for toileting opportunities! I didn't walk for the first few weeks in the foster home and have been quite overwhelmed with starting to do short walks as the traffic and unfamiliar people outside the home really frighten me, so I don't toilet on walks! Having the choice in the home to go outside and toilet will make both of our lives easier as I will learn that going outside is where I will toilet!
