About Toulouse

Hi there! I’m Toulouse, a 6 year old Silky Terrier cross.

I’m a sweet and gentle guy who’s been through a lot. I came from a shelter where I was pretty nervous, and I still get a bit nervous in new situations. I’m not really a fan of loud noises or sudden movements, so I’ll need a calm, quiet environment where I can feel safe and secure. I’m a little shy and can be sensitive to touch, so I’ll need someone who understands and respects my boundaries. I’m looking for an experienced owner who knows how to handle nervous dogs like me. Patience and understanding are key because I might take some time to adjust to my new home. A serene and peaceful household with minimal noise will be essential for me to feel at ease. It would be wonderful if you could set up a cozy, quiet space where I can retreat whenever I need to.

I’ve been around other dogs before, so it’s important for me to meet any potential doggy housemates to see if we get along. I used to share space with other dogs, so having a doggy buddy would be nice, but it’s crucial to ensure we’re a good match. I’m not a fan of loud, unpredictable things, so I’d be most comfortable in a home without kids under 12. Older children who understand my need for space might be okay.

Since I’m still learning to walk on a lead, having indoor/outdoor access to a yard space would be really helpful. It will make bathroom breaks easier and allow me to get comfortable with my new surroundings. I’ll need time to settle in, and having a yard or outdoor space will give me the freedom to explore and adjust at my own pace.
