About Toast

Hiya! My name's toast cause I'm a scrumptious girl who's on the lookout for my furever home! So here's a little bit about me so we can find out if you're my pawfect match!

I'm a Maremma if you didn't know! I'm a very special breed of dog that was originally bred for guarding livestock. Although I Iook like a giant golden retriever that's not exactly the case. I'll need to go to a home where my owners have a good amount of knowledge on my breed and understand my needs, personality, and quirks. It's okay if you've never owned one of us before, but please do some reading into our special breed before taking me home!

Because of my breed I'll need some outdoor space please! Although I love my people, and want nothing more than to sleep next to you on the couch, I also love having space to run around and stretch my legs! I'm not the kinda dog that would be suitable to apartment style living. I'd love a home where I can be outside or inside, depending on how I feel! And we can even play a game of fetch out there! I know how to chase balls, I haven't quite figured out how to bring them back yet... But maybe that's something we can learn together!

I'm not too fussed on other dogs, I am happy to walk past them or say hello if they're friendly. So if you have another doggo at home that's okay with me! Just bring them down to shelter with you so we can meet and make sure we'll be the best of friends! And if you don't have a dog friend for me that's okay too! I'm more than happy to soak up all your love and attention myself!

I'm a gorgeous girl with lots of love to give, so if I sound like your pawfect pup, please don't hesitate to come down to the shelter to meet me!
