About Jack
Hi, I’m Jack! I’m a 4-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a sensitive soul and a big heart once you get to know me. I can be a little nervous, especially in new environments or with unfamiliar people, so I’m looking for a calm, patient home with an experienced owner who understands that I need time and gentle guidance to feel safe. Once I’ve built that trust, I’m incredibly loyal — I love to be near my people, follow them around the house, and curl up nearby. I do best in a home where someone is around more often than not, as I can get quite upset if I feel alone for too long.
I’m looking for a quiet home with kids over 12 who understand I might startle if approached too quickly. I need to meet the whole family before heading home, as I’ve been a bit wary at first with new people, especially men — but with time and patience, I do come around. I’ll need to be the only pet in the home, as I’m still figuring out how to interact appropriately with other animals, and I’ve got that classic terrier instinct to chase smaller pets. I definitely prefer to be inside when you’re away — I’ve been known to get creative trying to find my people if I’m left outside alone! Toilet training and separation are still a work in progress, but with consistency, kindness, and support, I know I’ll get there.
Whether it’s a small house or even a well-suited apartment, I just need a calm environment, plenty of love, and a dedicated person to help me shine. I may be a bit of a project, but I promise I’m worth it — and I’ll be your most loyal little sidekick once I’ve found my place in your heart.
