Hi there,

I'm Mabel, a sweet and sassy girl who’s been loving life in foster care, but now I’m on the lookout for a permanent home.

I was found by a human wondering the streets with no home to call my own. At first, I found humans a little unusual but now that I know humans are the best, I’m all about giving and receiving love. I’m not the kind of cat who just sits around for a quick smooch—I want to be with you, near you, on you, as much as possible! Sometimes, when the staff give me gentle pats, I’m so comfortable that I even fall asleep. I also love to sit on your shoulder and snuggle into your neck, especially when you’re working on the computer. I just enjoy being around people, so I’m hoping my new owner is home often and ready to spend time with me, or maybe a sibling that will match my energy?

As I am still a young kitten, I’m full of energy and curiosity, and I love to explore and investigate everything around me. I’m also quite playful—I can leap and launch myself to catch string toys, and I’ve even learned how to play fetch! My foster carer rolls up some aluminum foil into a ball, and I’ll bring it back to her, ready to play again.

I can be a bit of a "chatty Cathy," especially around meal times, but I’m still learning that it’s okay to be a bit more patient and quiet sometimes, especially when I’m left alone. I’m getting better at it, but I’ll need some time to adjust and grow into a more independent cat.
