About Ellie
Ellie is a striking Domestic Short Hair tuxedo cat looking for a very special forever home. Ellie is now ready to start the next chapter of her life. She is a sensitive and independent girl who will need a calm, adult-only household where she can feel safe and respected.
Ellie would thrive in a quiet home with secure access to the outdoors, such as a cat-proof garden or enclosed catio. While she’s not the kind of cat who will immediately seek affection, Ellie has great potential to form a meaningful bond with the right person — someone who understands cat behaviour and body language, and who is happy to let her take the lead in interactions.
This lovely girl will take longer than most cats to settle into a new environment. She will need a safe haven — a quiet, cozy space where she can retreat and feel secure while adjusting at her own pace. Trust and connection with Ellie are things that must be earned slowly, and her adopter will need to be patient, gentle, and willing to go at her speed.
All of Ellie’s interactions must be on her terms. She’s not a lap cat, but she is a cat who can truly flourish once she feels safe and understood. In the right home with the right person, Ellie has every chance to blossom into a calm and content companion.
If you’re an experienced cat owner who values a respectful and rewarding relationship with a cat, and you have a peaceful home to offer, Ellie could be the one for you. She may just surprise you with how deeply she can bond — when given the time, space, and love she needs.
