Hello, I’m Tess, a graceful British Shorthair with a calm and dignified personality—once I’m comfortable, of course! I’m looking for a family who understands that I may be a bit shy or nervous at first. It might take me some time to trust you, and I need introductions to be slow and gentle. I’m not one for rushed meetings or loud, sudden movements. If you let me come to you at my own pace, I’ll show you a side of me that’s sweet, loving, and full of affection.

It’s important that my new family is familiar with cat behaviour, especially the need for patience and respect when it comes to boundaries. I might not be the most outgoing at first, but I promise that with time, I’ll grow into a loyal and cuddly companion.

I’m also a bit picky when it comes to food—if I don’t like something, you’ll know! But once I find a dish I’m fond of, I’ll enjoy it in peace. A quiet, calm home with people who understand that cats can take a while to warm up would be perfect for me. I am currently on behaviour medication, which has really helped me feel more relaxed and confident. The great news is that my adoption includes a free vet consultation, so you’ll have all the support you need to help me continue on my journey of feeling settled and content.
