About Opie

He thrives in a home where he's the only canine companion and where children are older (15+), allowing him to focus on his training and development in a calmer environment. A securely fenced yard is a must for this active lad, giving him the space to romp and play to his heart's content, with the freedom to enjoy both indoor and outdoor access.

Opie has grown up in the shelter and this means he can be a bit overwhelmed in new situations and needs a patient and understanding owner to help him build confidence. He's already shown tremendous progress with positive reinforcement techniques, responding beautifully to gentle guidance and clear boundaries.
