About Ruby

Hi, I'm Ruby.

I'm an older girl with a gentle nature, the perfect addition for someone who is after that extra companion in their life. I'm not an energetic pup anymore but I do still enjoy a good play and zoom around, followed by an afternoon nap. I've been staying at the shelter for some time now, I have had one of my toes removed and a few other medical things, I'm now feeling better than ever and ready to find a home to live out my senior years. I'm one of the lucky ones who's been able to spend some time in a foster home - here's what my foster pawrents had to say about me:

Ruby may be a little older in years, but she’s young at heart! This spirited girl is always up for a playful tumble with a younger dog or a cozy nap at your feet in the morning sun. Ruby has endless kisses and tail wags to give, and she’s guaranteed to fill your home with love. She’s easy to please, adores any kind of food (drool verified!), and is an absolute joy to have around.

My ideal lifestyle would be the occasional walk, plenty of opportunities for rest and sleep, some toys I can de-fluff, and an owner who is willing to care for me. I have no issues with other dogs as long as they respect my space, and any children should know that I'm not a puppy and won't appreciate them climbing all over me, so if you have either, bring them in to say hi and to see if we will all get along.
