About Mickey

Hello everyone, my name is Mickey! A charming young Australian Kelpie cross, on a quest for a forever home filled with patience, understanding, and gentle guidance! I'm a little guy that has come from a background with limited socialisation, meaning the big, wide world is a brand new and sometimes overwhelming experience for me. Think of me as a shy, little explorer tentatively stepping into uncharted territory! While I might be timid at first, especially around new people and places, beneath my initial hesitation lies a bright and playful personality just waiting to shine.

I'm looking for a loving family who can provide me with a safe, predictable and enriching environment. I would thrive in a peaceful, quiet environment with older, understanding children who can respect my boundaries and offer me a safe space to blossom. It would be great if I could have indoor and outdoor access with the freedom to explore, play and rest. With limited exposure to the bustling outside world, I haven't had the opportunity to learn all the social cues and confidence that many puppies develop naturally, and I would love a family committed to helping me develop these skills and build my confidence to be a well-mannered little man. I'm like a freshly planted seed, needing the right care and nurturing to truly flourish. I would thrive in a home with an older, well-adjusted canine companion to show me the ropes and help me navigate the world. This confident dog would be my mentor, demonstrating how to play, interact, and generally "be a dog!"
