Hi there! My name is Chook and I'm on the lookout for my furever home.

I’m a sweet and spirited boy with a heart as big as my smile. Let me tell you a bit about myself!

I am a sweet and sensitive dog with a heart full of love, it just takes a little time to show it. At my core, I am a bit of a sooky boy who thrives on affection and closeness. I can be shy or stand offish when meeting new people, I have my walls firmly up until I feel safe and comfortable. But once those walls come down, I transform into your most loyal and devoted friend, and I am always ready for a cuddle and eager to claim a spot on your lap, I am a wannabe lapdog!

I am selective when it comes to meeting other dogs. While I can get along with some, I am discerning about who earns my trust and friendship. I benefit from slow, gentle introductions and patience to feel at ease around new canine companions. Also! If you work regular hours, that’s just fine with me. I understand people have responsibilities and I’ll be right here, tail wagging and heart full, ready for our next adventure as soon as you get home.

With a little understanding and plenty of love, I blossom into the most affectionate and charming companion. If anyone is willing to give me the time and care to bond deeply I promise you will find a life long, loving best friend!
