I’m Ruby — a proud, chocolatey queen of the couch and a 9-year-young Labrador Retriever with a heart as big as my paws and a smile that never goes out of style.

Life has taught me a thing or two, and I’ve decided the best things in it are simple: sunny strolls, soft blankets, a gentle game of fetch, and a human to lean on (literally — I give world-class side snuggles). My energy level? Think “let’s enjoy the day” rather than “let’s run a marathon.” I’m perfectly happy with daily walks and a little playtime, followed by quality relaxation time.

I’m calm, friendly, and wonderfully devoted. If you work average hours, I’d be the perfect steady presence waiting to greet you — tail wagging, eyes sparkling, ready to hear about your day. I do best with teens 15 and up who understand that a lady appreciates respectful company.

I’m what you might call a “one-dog spotlight” kind of gal. While I don’t have any known issues with other pets, I truly shine in a single-dog home where I can focus all my love and loyalty on my person. And trust me — I have a lot of love to give.

I adore learning and would be thrilled with little daily lessons or new routines to keep my clever mind busy. At my age, I’m past the chaos but fully present for the joy. I’m the kind of companion who will sit beside you during quiet evenings, rest my head on your knee, and remind you that you’re never alone.
