Meet Gus

Hi, my name is Gus, and I’m a male Staghound searching for a home that suits my steady, balanced pace. I thrive with a predictable routine that offers the best of both worlds—engaging activities to keep my curious mind happy, and plenty of downtime for relaxing and soaking up the sun.

I’m dog social and enjoy the company of other dogs when introductions are done properly. Because of my size, some dogs can be unsure of me at first—and I can get quite excited when I spot a potential new friend! For this reason, I’ll need solid, secure fencing, as seeing the outside world can be very thrilling for me.

I’m best suited to a home with dog-confident children aged 12 years and older. As a large boy, I can be boisterous when excited, so I’ll do best with kids who understand how to be gentle, give me space, and feel comfortable around big dogs.
