About Xena

I’m Xena and I'm a 10-month-old Bullmastiff and I’m a big girl with lots of strength and an even bigger heart. I’m still learning about the world, so I’m hoping to find a patient family who can help guide me as I grow.

When I meet new people I can be a little shy at first, but once I realise you’re friendly I absolutely love a good pat and being close to my humans.

I’m a curious girl and I love using my nose. Sniffing around to find food is one of my favourite activities, so games and enrichment that let me search and explore are lots of fun for me.

I’m interested in meeting other dogs, but I’m still learning how to approach politely, so I’ll need some time, patience and training to help me understand doggy manners.

At home I’m happiest when I can relax near my people, whether that’s sitting at your feet or curling up on the couch beside you. Being part of the family is very important to me.

Because I’m a strong girl who’s still learning, I have a few things I’m looking for in my new home:

• I need to be the only dog in the home
• I can’t live with pocket pets
• I’ll need strong, secure fencing
• I’d love indoor and outdoor access so I can be near my people
• A home where someone is around most of the time would make me happiest
• I’d like to meet everyone in the family first to make sure we all get along

When I move to a new place, I might be a little sensitive to sounds at first, but with patience and reassurance I’ll settle in and learn that everything is okay.
