About Wendy
Hi, I’m Wendy, a one-year-old domestic short hair with a gentle nature and a soft spot for pats. Once I feel comfortable, I’ll often be the one keeping an eye out for a quiet moment to come over and enjoy some affection with you.
When I first arrived at the RSPCA, I was injured and very shut down, but I’ve worked really hard on being brave and learning that the world can be a safe place. I’m currently in foster care, continuing to discover what it means to be a loved pet, and I’m making lovely progress at my own pace.
I’m looking for a calm and understanding home where I can take my time to settle in and decompress. I like having the space to figure things out in my own time, and I’ll do best with someone who can read my cues and understand when I’m ready for attention—and when I’d prefer a little quiet time.
Once I feel safe and secure, I’ll start to show more of my sweet personality, so patience will really pay off with me. Because I can still be a little sensitive and have shown some fearful behaviours in the past, I’d be best suited to a home without children under 6.
If you’re someone who can offer a peaceful environment and let me blossom at my own pace, I’d love to be your companion.
