About Elwood

Elwood is a sweet and sensitive young boy who's still learning to feel safe and secure in the world. He can be a little shy when meeting new people, but with gentle handling and positive reinforcement, he quickly builds trust and shows his affectionate, playful side. Once comfortable, he loves to interact and engage with his people. Being very food motivated (though a bit snatchy!), Elwood will be a joy to train, even though he's new to commands and can be a little worried by fast hand movements. Elwood is bigger than he appears, and is best suited for a calm and patient home with teens and adults. He might enjoy a home with a suitable canine companion after a successful meet-and-greet, provided owners can manage resources and always feed separately. A home without cats is recommended. He'll thrive with a secure large yard and a family committed to his ongoing training and socialisation.
