Wilfred is a loving, affectionate boy who adores people and enjoys being part of the family. He knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake," and is always eager to please. He loves running around outside, doing his joyful zoomies, though he's still learning to be confident indoors.
Wilfred is learning to walk on lead, so he can be a little of a trip hazard at times. For his safety, he is not suitable for homes with elderly people who aren't steady on their feet or very young children. He can be sensitive to loud noises and fast movements, so a calm, understanding household with older children is ideal.
He experiences some separation anxiety and will need a home where someone is around most of the time and where he can be allowed inside to feel secure. Wilfred is quietly social with other dogs and would benefit from a calm canine companion.
He is an escape artist, so a secure 6-foot fence is a must. With patience, love, and understanding, Wilfred will thrive and become a devoted, happy, and joyful member of his new family.
