About Meg
Meg is a young, sensitive girl looking for a calm home with plenty of structure and routine. She can be worried by new people and environments, so her adopters will need to take things slowly and make all experiences positive. Once she feels safe, Meg bonds quickly and wants to be included as part of the family indoors.
A crate or designated "den" space is recommended to give Meg a safe retreat when she feels overwhelmed. She can be unsure of close handling and restraint, so gentle guidance and regular consent breaks are essential.
As a young dog, Meg will benefit from ongoing training such as four-paws-on-the-floor and impulse control. She's active and will thrive with plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Someone home more often than not would be ideal, especially during her first few days to a week to help her settle.
Meg is very food-motivated, which will support her training. She already knows sit and lie down and is eager to learn more.
A home with calm older children or teens may suit her, provided they're involved in her training and can read her body language. All family members must meet her at adoption to ensure a good match.
Must meet any doggie companions at time of adoption, while Meg has shown to be social, she can be worried by other dogs initially as she may not have had that type of exposure and socialisation that other puppies have had growing up.
