About Caesar
Caesar hasn't had much luck finding his forever home, and we honestly can't work out why! He is a gentle, calm boy with a beautiful nature to go with his stunning brindle coat.
He has been in our care for many months - he completed our training program before finding a foster home to patiently await his future family. Right now he is enjoying sunbathing in the yard, napping next to his foster humans on the couch while they watch Netflix each night and sticking his curious nose in whatever they are doing during the day... but the next thing he would just LOVE to sniff out is a forever home just for him.
He is a snuggly, sweet boy who is just great company at home. He does not bark, is fine with being left when you go out, is toilet trained and is not destructive. He has good manners with his dinner - he doesn't even chase birds away from his food bowl!
With his foster mum, Caesar has been learning to use good manners whilst out walking. He will need you to continue this with him. He will do anything for cheese so we reckon he'll be your best walking buddy in no time!
Caesar also needs to be your only pet. He is not a fan of other dogs so he is not suited to dog parks or beaches. As for cats - he just can't help but chase them!
He LOVES meeting people and will greet all your visitors with a friendly wag. He is a well-mannered, placid dog at home and a wonderful companion. One of his favourite things to do is say hi to the school kids as they walk past the front fence as they give him a pat.
His one fear is thunderstorms so he will need to be allowed inside so he can find himself a cosy hiding place to wait them out (on your feet if possible!).
He is in good health but has recovered from a leg surgery and also requires daily anxiety medication to help keep him relaxed and continuing to learn.
Caesar is a really sweet, special boy that we can't wait to find a home for - if he sounds right for you, please send us an application.
