Hi There! I'm Magenta!

I'm a stunning Australian kelpie looking for a devoted retirement home where I can be part of your day every day! I'm a go anywhere with you kind of girl and while I am happy to be anywhere my people are, I'm still learning a lot of life skills so you may have to accommodate my inexperience from time to time.

I know talking about inexperience makes me sound like a baby, but I'm a mature lady who just hasn't been out much... Now it's my time to really live so you better be full of joy and zest for life like me! My foster family think I am the most beautiful girl inside and out - Their pet name for me is 'Gentle' or 'Ma Gentle' or 'Ma Gentle Bum' (How embarrassing!!)

I'm looking for a home with people who are home a bit more than the average people. I love to be indoors and I have no respect for personal space... on your lap, on your feet, leaning in and loving it up!

I take some daily medications which you'll need to budget for - some of those are behaviour medications to help me adjust to the big wide world and others are medication that help with my old lady aches and pains. You'll need to talk to my vet and Behaviour vet before you can adopt me, just to make sure you understand all my needs.

Personally, I think I'd most enjoy a quiet home where I can spend a fair part of the day indoors with a nice secure area outdoors to sniff and wander. I like kids, and I live with a lovely calm 12yr old girl currently, but I'm not supposed to run and play too much, so I'm better suited to a calm home where this can be managed. Similarly, I like other dogs, but I'm not supposed to run and play with them too much either so if they are quiet and have a lazy play style, then it might work out, otherwise I'm happy to be just my people and me.

Because I'm special and don't live in the shelter (I have a foster home!) and because I have some special requirements, you get to do an application to tell me all about you and learn more about me before we meet!
