About Barry

Barry came to the shelter with his brother after both were badly affected by a skin condition. Thanks to veterinary care, he's recovering well and is now ready to leave the shelter and continue healing in a foster home. Barry is looking for a foster‑to‑adopt home while he completes his final vet clearance and desexing in the coming weeks. Once cleared, his foster family can finalise his adoption and make him a permanent part of the family. As a young pup, Barry has missed out on some of the early socialisation that helps shape confident adults. Because of this, he's a typical, boisterous youngster - full of enthusiasm, curiosity, and cheekiness - who will need an owner willing to dedicate time, patience, and consistency to teaching him household manners and basic life skills. With guidance, routine, and positive training, Barry has all the potential to grow into a wonderful companion. Barry would love a home that understands puppy energy, enjoys active play and training, and is ready to help him learn and thrive. In return, he offers endless affection, laughter, and the joy that only a young dog discovering life can bring.
