About Waratah
Meet Waratah! This sweet rooster was rescued by a kind soul and brought into the shelter, and he's already showing us his confident side! Waratah is handsome, with a bold beard and those eye-catching, feathery pants. Whether he's surveying his kingdom with a proud strut or chatting with his ladies, he commands attention wherever he goes.
As the flock’s protector, Waratah takes his duties seriously. He’s always on the lookout, ensuring his ladies are safe and sound, but don’t be fooled—he knows how to kick back and enjoy the finer things in life, like a tasty snack or a refreshing dust bath. He’ll do best in a home where he has room to roam and reign. Ideally, his new home will already have hens (of similar size) that he can look after and protect. A large, fox-proof, weatherproof, and flight-proof coop is a must—Waratah’s got wings and isn’t afraid to use them, so he’ll need a secure space to call his own. (Photos required at adoption.) While Waratah is confident and independent, he’ll still appreciate a bit of time to adjust to his new home, so a patient and understanding environment is key.
Are you ready to welcome this bold, charismatic rooster into your home and let him rule the roost?
