About Chrissy
PROJECT CAT
Meet Chrissy
Brought in to the shelter and originally fostered with her gorgeous kittens (who have all found their forever homes now), Chrissy has been in the care of the RSPCA for sometime now adjusting to the domestic life. While she still has a long way to go, Chrissy has adjusted well and is looking for a cat experienced home that will allow her to settle in at her own pace.
She is by no means an affectionate cat (at least not currently) and has taken a long time getting used to being around humans. She has lived quite contently in foster for the past month or so, she is happy to be present in the same room as you, but isn’t one for cuddles.
She will accept pats if there is food involved, but she will let you know she’s not entirely happy with the arrangement by huffing (yes, huffing) at you.
Chrissy has warmed up to her foster carer through mealtimes. She will venture out of her favourite hidey space and be hand fed, and she will take extra bribes of creamy tube treats anytime you offer them. Her foster carer has gotten Chrissy to the point of soft blinks, the occasional cheek rub and reciprocal gum rub from Chrissy (cuter than described, promise!) and Chrissy has started to lay an arm length away while staring adoringly (and maybe hungrily) at her.
She enjoys playing with toys, she is perfectly litter trained, and loves to lay out in the sun. She will disappear at loud noises or sudden movements, but comes back out to investigate. She may do well with a feline friend to show her the ropes, or perhaps just be a good companion for, and her foster carer is sure she will blossom with lots of time and patience.
