About Doug

Doug the Greyhound is a beautiful, affectionate boy who loves nothing more than being close to his people. Gentle and easy to live with, Doug has settled wonderfully into home life and enjoys spending his days relaxing nearby after a little playtime with his favourite toys.

Doug has lovely house manners, is well toilet trained, and already knows basic commands. He’s a calm and quiet companion who rarely barks and has a sweet, gentle nature, especially when taking treats or food.

On walks, Doug is mostly very good on the lead. He can become a little overstimulated when he spots animals and may pull with excitement, but he settles quickly and is easy to redirect. He generally seems enthusiastic and curious around other dogs, even after previous negative experiences.

Doug would possibly be better suited as an only dog, where he can enjoy plenty of attention and a calm environment. However, he might also do well with a friendly younger female dog following careful introductions. He is definitely not suited to a home with cats.

Doug would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, loyal dog who enjoys affection, short bursts of play, and plenty of naps by your side.
