About Link
Hello there, my name is Link! I'm a sweet boy looking for my new home!
I'd suit a quieter home with adopters who are experienced with nervous adolescents with big goofy personalities. I'd love to be included as part of the family, coming both inside and outdoors, but I'll also need my own penned off safe space where I can have a bone and chillax on my own so I can practice independence. Any children in the home will need to be over 15 years of age and confident around dogs. I know sometimes you have to go out, but if you leave me with some fun toys, cream cheese wall smears, a lasting chew and a fresh water bowl in my safe space, I should be happy until you get home. I would benefit from daily enrichment and interactive feeders to help keep my mind and body active. I need time to warm up to other dogs. I'd prefer an older calm companion that I can learn good habits and skills from, so if you have another dog at home of this nature, please bring them in to meet me. Dog parks or off-leash areas are not ideal for me as there may be rude dogs who would rush up to me, and what I really need is a little bit of space to figure them out and build my confidence. There is still much to learn about this big, beautiful world. I would benefit from ongoing positive reinforcement training to help me be the best dog I can be! Training takes time, practice and patience, along with lots of love and yummy treats which is all I will ask from you! If I sound like the sweet boy for you, please come in to meet me.
BONUS! You will have complementary support from our behaviour experts at the RSPCA post adoption!
