Hello everyone, my name is Ayla and it's lovely to meet you.

I've had a pretty sheltered life and haven't been able to learn much about the world. I really struggled in the shelter with all the new sounds and smells and I really didn't want much to do with people. Lucky for me a wonderful foster carer came forward to take me in and has been letting me build my confidence and learn some new skills in their home and I'm thriving! Now it's time to take those skills and use them to find my very own forever home and while I'm still nervous I think I'm ready!

I will need a family who is understanding and committed to helping me navigate the world at my own pace, I won't be a dog for adventures any time soon and would prefer the quiet predictable routine of a home with my trusted people. Ideally my new home would just have a few quiet adults who I can bond with and learn to trust.

I'm ok with sharing my home with other dogs as long as they're calm and quiet like me, I'm not a super playful girl but I'll happily take a turn about the yard for a sniff with my canine friend. I've also shared a foster home with a cat and I find them quite frightening so I would need a home without cats around to feel comfortable.

It is also important my new home have fencing with secure footings, I'm very short and would easily take advantage of any gaps you might not be aware of, especially in the early days while I'm still unsettled and maybe a bit scared.
