About Berry
Hi, I’m Berry – a sweet and curious young Staffy pup with a heart full of love and a nose for adventure (once I feel safe, of course!).
When I first came into my foster home, I lucked out with the most amazing carer! I was pretty nervous about the world around me. Everything was new and a bit scary, but with patience, kindness, and lots of gentle encouragement, I’ve started to come out of my shell and show off my playful, affectionate side. I’m still learning the ropes – things like toileting, walking nicely on the lead, and going for car rides are all part of my training journey, so I’ll need a family who understands that slow, positive exposure to new things is the key to helping me thrive.
I currently live with a senior Staffy and I absolutely love her! I like to curl up beside her and will often try to get her to play with me. Because of this, it’s important that I meet any other dogs in the home to make sure we get along. I’m still figuring out the world, so I’d also need to meet all the people in my potential family to help me feel secure and included. In my foster home, I’ve had both indoor and outdoor access, which has really helped me build confidence at my own pace. When I first arrived, I felt safest indoors, but as I grew more comfortable, I started enjoying the freedom to explore outside too. Having both options available helps me feel more in control, and it’s something I’ll need in my forever home, especially since I might feel unsure again in a brand new environment.
I’d do best in a home where someone is around more often at first to help me settle and support me as I adjust. Providing things like chew toys, kongs, doggy ice blocks, long lasting chews etc. will really help me to keep my young brain stimulated. If you’re patient, loving, and up for helping a young pup grow into the confident, loyal dog I’m meant to be, then I just might be your perfect match. Could we be each other’s happily ever after?
