About Shiba

Hi there, my name is Shiba and I’m a beautiful Siberian Husky looking for my forever home. I can be a little nervous when meeting new people, but once I feel safe and get to know you, I really come out of my shell and form strong bonds. I’m hoping to find a kind and patient person (or family) who understands that I might just need a little time to trust.

As an Arctic breed, I thrive when I have both indoor and outdoor access—I love being able to choose where I’m most comfortable, whether that’s lounging in the shade outside or curling up inside after a bit of exploration.

I would prefer to be the only dog in the home, in the shelter I have shown that I am happy to keep my distance from other dogs. I’m not suited to living with cats or pocket pets, so I’ll need a home free of those little housemates. I’d also like to meet any humans in the family before adoption, just so we can all feel good about the match.

Because adjusting to a new environment can be a big change, I’d really benefit from someone who’s home during the first few weeks to help me settle in and build a strong routine. I’m a sweet, loyal girl with so much love to give—I’m just waiting for the right person or family to give me a chance to shine. Could that be you?
