Hi there, I’m Dodo — a low-slung, soft-hearted guy on the lookout for a calm, loving forever home where I can truly exhale and just be me!

I’m 4 years young and, like most Dachshunds, I’ve got a nose for adventure and a serious talent for napping. I’m all about the quiet comforts in life: a warm lap, a soft bed, and a peaceful spot in the garden to sniff to my heart’s content. I would love if someone from my family could take a mini holiday from the hustle and bustle of life and be home more often to help me settle into my new home.

Loud noises and sudden commotion make me a bit uneasy, so I’d feel most at home in a gentle, quiet environment — one with older kids (12+) who understand that I need a bit of space and patience. Once I’ve had time to settle in, I’ll be your sweetest little shadow, following you from room to room and curling up beside you for movie nights, book reading, or just soaking up the calm.

I really enjoy the company of other dogs like me and will need a canine companion in my new home — especially fellow Dachshunds or similarly sized pups who share my easygoing vibe. Having a buddy around helps me feel more at ease and confident in new surroundings.

I may be a bit shy at first but give me time and I’ll show you just how much love this little body can hold. I’m not asking for much — just a peaceful place to call home, a kind heart to trust, and maybe a plush bed (or two).
