About Atlas
Hi, I’m Atlas. I’m a young dog who hasn’t had much experience with the world yet, so I’m looking for a family who can help me learn everything I need to know to become the best companion I can be.
I’m gentle and sweet, but new things—especially sudden noises like cars or trucks going by—can make me nervous. Because of this, I’d do best in a calm, peaceful home where I can settle in at my own pace. I love to chew and lick, which helps me decompress, and I’m hoping my new family can give me safe things to enjoy while I learn about home life.
I’ll need to meet all family members before adoption so everyone understands my sensitive nature and can help me feel safe. I also need a home with no kids under 12, just to make sure things stay calm and predictable for me as I adjust.
If you have another dog, we’ll need to meet first to make sure we’re a good match. A role model adult dog would be a great fit.
Since I’m still figuring out the world, it would be best if I didn’t have to go on walks for the first week or two—I need a little time to build confidence before facing all those new sounds. A home with indoor/outdoor access, secure fencing, and no apartments is important for me. I need space to move around without the pressure of busy streets and lots of new things too soon.
With patience, guidance, and a gentle routine, I know I’ll grow into a loving, loyal companion. I just need someone willing to take things slow and help me feel safe every step of the way.
