Hi, I'm Neeko!

I'm a sensitive little soul looking for a special type of home with a patient understanding owner. I have had a limiting life so far and have only been exposed to some things, so a lot of this world is new to me, it takes me time to settle in and form new bonds, and to feel safe. I came into the shelter with my friend Harley who looks like me, I have always had him around for support, so I'm not really used to being alone, because of this I will need to go home with another friendly social dog to show me the ropes and help my confidence skills, or go to a home where you are home more often than not to keep me company. I'm not a huge fan of being touched and I definitely don't like to be picked up, only once I have the time to get to know people will I will show my affectionate and playful side. I love exploring grassed areas, enjoy having a snooze in the sun or laying down with a chew, my ideal home will be quiet and slow paced where not much is expected of me, so if you're looking for a social cafe dog to take with you everywhere I'm not that type of dog and might never be, maybe in time with patience and love, but I can't make any promises! I will need a secure yard attached to the house that I cn explore in and toilet in, lots of quiet areas I can retreat to when Im tired, and plenty of toys I can chase around when I'm feling energetic.
